I have several hydrangea bushes in my yard, and most of them are doing excellently. But there is one bush in particular that looks really healthy, but just doesn't give any flowers. The leaves are healthy and it's a nice big bush but no flowers! It's never given flowers ever since I can remember. Any ideas on what I should be doing differently?
Thanks,

Hydrangea bush that doesn't bloom
I used to have an Annabelle Hydrangea that stopped blooming a few years ago. Out of the blue, flowers just stopped appearing on the bush. The plant itself was very healthy but no flowers. I went to a local nursery and followed their advice. Within a few months, the hydrangea had begun to blossom again and it does bloom consistently now. Apparently, hydrangeas need iron to grow flowers, and your soil must be iron-deficient. You can use iron in tablet or liquid form to apply to the soil. You can also use epsom salts to apply to the soil. What you will be trying to do is to enrich the soil that the plant is in. Apply the iron supplements and mulch around the plant after application.
