My wife and I just bought a beach house. Actually, my wife was more instrumental in buying the beach house, but I suppose I had something to do with it! Anyway, we need to purchase garden furniture for the beach house, and are looking for furniture items that will be durable, lightweight for moving inside when we are not around, and can withstand the salt air.
I grew up in New England, and love the idea of the "cottage" look, but I don't want to spend every minute at the beach house painting my garden furniture. I have heard a lot about "plastic" chairs and benches, but I don't want the house to look tacky! Help!!! Before my wife runs off with the credit card and buys a bunch of wood furniture I have to paint every other month. . .
